Pharmacy Intern at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Practices under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, with daily supervision by the Associate Director, Assistant Pharmacy Director, Clinical Coordinator or Corporate Director of Pharmacy Services at all facilities. Assists the pharmacists and technicians in all aspects of pharmaceutical care and clinical services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a work permit and registration from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.

Experience:

• Requirements of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy for licensure.
• Hospital experience is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations and Certifications:

• Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Extern/Intern Certificate of Registration
• Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Work Permit

Professional and Interpersonal Skills:

• Must be professional and have effective interpersonal skills required to communicate and work with others to ensure a safe and effective service.
• Expeditiously resolves any communication deficits with other healthcare professionals and co-workers.
