PALM Health Cafe - Cook

The PALM Health Café is a small café specializing in healthy and nutritious food, baked goods, smoothies, and salads. Duties include setting up workstations and prepping ingredients, preparing hot and cold food to order, assisting with dishes and upkeep of the kitchen, and working collaboratively in a small, fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be able to work well in a busy environment, be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job. The Cook must be able to follow instructions and adhere to all health and safety rules in the kitchen.

This is a daytime, full-time position, working weekdays; 1pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am - 2pm on Friday. Health benefits included for full-time employees.

Required Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as prep/cook
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Manual dexterity: able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); training from a culinary school will be an asset
