Job Description

We’re looking for Occupational Therapists who are excited to help restore patient independence, mobility, and quality of life. In this role, you’ll plan and lead therapy sessions for patients recovering from physical or cognitive impairments in the hospital and through home health. You’ll use therapeutic techniques to enhance daily function, reduce pain, promote long-term health, and help patients return to meaningful daily activities.

You’ll also supervise support staff, contribute to equipment and staffing planning, and help ensure compliance with applicable standards. We value collaboration, clear communication, and compassionate care, and we’re excited to welcome teammates who bring these strengths to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver personalized occupational therapy programs

  • Support skill restoration and adaptation for patients with physical or mental impairments

  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehab Aides, and support staff

  • Recommend necessary equipment and staffing needs

  • Promote health, independence, and function through therapeutic intervention

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with rehabilitation, nursing, and care teams to develop personalized therapy plans that align with each patient’s goals, deliver effective patient-focused services, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy or equivalent

  • Current California registration as an Occupational Therapist

  • Competency in occupational therapy principles, methods, and tools

  • Experience with hospital or home health populations and relevant certifications

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to assess patient needs and implement therapy plans

  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance

  • BLS CPR certification (American Heart Association guidelines)

  • Recommended affiliation with the American Occupational Therapy Association

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
