Job Description

We're looking for Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. In this role, you'll assess and treat individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, caregivers, and the rehabilitation team while making a meaningful impact on patients' quality of life. We value compassion, teamwork, clinical excellence, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in the identification and treatment of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized speech-language and swallowing plans of care.

  • Prepare clinical progress notes and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Consult with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation team members regarding patient care.

  • Participate in departmental in-service education and professional development activities.

  • Provide services in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.

  • Supervise Rehabilitation Aides and other assigned personnel.

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our rehabilitation team, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license.

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Individuals nearing graduation and fulfillment of the above qualifications will be considered.

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language.

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community.
