RN^ Coordinator in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Registered Nurse to be our Intake Coordinator for our patients in our Parkview Geriatric Wellness unit.

Parkview Geriatric Wellness (PVGW) is a geriatric behavioral unit licensed for 20 bed, currently serving the community with 15 beds. Our patient population is 50 years of age and older. We are located inside the main hospital and work closely with the other departments in the hospital. Parkview Wellness see a wide range of mental health patients, including dementia, bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorders and depression. Parkview is a short term placement, most patient's length of stay is 7 days. Parkview Wellness is a specialty unit and trains staff in the art of de-escalation. Staff will also be trained in proper safety holds. We are focused on safety in the Wellness unit, our nurse to patient ratio is 1:8 with one core tech on both sides of the unit and a float teach, who helps both sides of the unit.

A typical day will include: Assists in assuring the quality of care provided, adherence to policies and procedures; Assists in coordinating educational programs and orientations; Assist in maintaining required documentation; Evaluating patients from admission to Parkview Geriatrci Wellness; Assist in Performance Improvement activities and monitoring of Quality Metrics; Assist with clerical activities; Supervise Staff; Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to ensure proper and safe patient handling; Conduct Daily meetings/huddles with staff and providers; Patient Care as needed, Assisting Dept Director with Leadership Tasks; Maintains professional behavior consistent with mission, vision and Values. Preforms other duties as requested.
