POSITION SUMMARY
The primary focus for this position is to provide high-quality service and assistance to credit union members as the primary point of contact at our branch locations for members. Financial Service Representatives are responsible for providing a range of banking services including accurately processing financial transactions, performing general account maintenance, ensuring compliance with all operational policies and procedures, cross-promoting credit union products and services as appropriate to assist with member financial needs. As a Financial Service Representative, you will ensure a professional, efficient, and welcoming service experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

- Meet management service standards and expectations.
- Attend staff, department, leadership, and executive meetings as scheduled.
- Promote credit union products and services.
- Respond Promptly and courteously to member inquiries.
- Keep work area clean and sensitive material properly secured.
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner as required for compliance with regulations.
- Resolve member issues and escalate problems to appropriate personnel/departments as needed.
- Identify member needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Greet and welcome members as they enter the credit union branch, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Ensure all member information is collected and current.
- Process a variety of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
- Verify, validate, and issue checks and other financial instruments.
- Balance cash drawer and maintain cash levels with established guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security protocols.
- Perform routine tasks such as filing, data entry, and documentation.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the branch.
- Uphold professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain detailed records of all interactions with members and applicants and any actions taken on their behalf.
- Work to meet performance metric individual and department goals.
- Stay up to date on credit union policy and procedures. Adhere to regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education or training is a plus.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Prior customer service experience.
- 1+ years teller/member service experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software applications.
- Knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and philosophy preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Basic computer skills. Familiarity with banking software and programs preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving and analytical abilities
- Team player
