As an Event Custodial Services Technician at IC Arena, you will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests by maintaining facility cleanliness before, during, and after events.

The Ice Crew is a group of skilled ice skaters who support the Idaho Central Arena Operations and Idaho Steelheads at all Steelheads home games. The Ice Crew's primary responsibility includes clearing the ice surface of debris during media time-outs and assisting with on-ice promotions.

Responsibilities:

  • Sprint skating around rink to collect remnant snow from the ice surface a minimum of nine times per game while wearing ice skates and other required equipment or uniforms.
  • Safely escorting fans and invited talent on and off the ice within the strict ECHL timing requirements, and if needed providing support for set up of on-ice entertainment during game breaks.
  • Assist with in-game video features shoots as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. May be required to aid in setting up for pre or post-game promotional activities. This may include cleaning of facilities if required or moving equipment.
  • Wearing all required safety equipment.

Requirements:
  • Advanced ice-skating skills.
  • Comfortable in front of large crowds and on camera or video.
  • Schedule availability during home games.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift & carry up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance, including overhead lifting as needed.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs., with or without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
