POSITION: Receiving Inspector, Quality

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL.

STATUS: Salary-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring the conformity of incoming material, purchased product or product manufactured by PSM suppliers. Assessment and verification of requirements based on established standards and criteria are critical in this role. Processing documentation and navigating the internal PSM systems is key to supporting efficiency and effectiveness of our Supply chain and our Quality System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, support on the following:

  • Visual Inspection for count, condition, and identification.
  • Perform dimensional inspections utilizing standard Measuring and Test equipment.
  • Document inspection results.
  • Gather and organize product measurement and other quality data
  • Execute Usage Decisions for Goods Receipts within SAP and the QSi Quality database.
  • Input and/or upload supplier documentation into SAP Open Text and QSi after review.
  • Review non-conformance reports (NCR) for applicability for incoming hardware.
  • Research Acceptance Data Package (ADP) or Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) submissions to support investigations when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent required
  • Associate Degree or higher-level education preferred
  • Relevant ASQ training/certification (CQA, CQIA, etc.) preferred
  • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.

Skills/Experience

  • 1-2+ years of experience in industry with specific skills related to quality inspection, quality systems and documentation. Prior experience working under formal environments such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP or other quality programs is a plus.
  • Must be a detailed oriented, high energy, self-starter with time management skills
  • Good planning, organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong quality and customer focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluency in English, spoken & written
  • Experience within Gas Turbine or Power Generation industry preferred.
