Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Computer Voice Rating Task for French in Canada.
This opportunity involves participating in short, ad-hoc language evaluation tasks focused on improving text-to-speech technologies in Canadian French. You will listen to audio clips generated by synthetic voices and provide structured feedback based on predefined rating criteria. The work is opinion-based and requires careful listening rather than technical expertise, contributing directly to the refinement of voice AI systems. Tasks are completed remotely through an online evaluation tool and are made available intermittently depending on project demand. This is a flexible, task-based role suited for native speakers who want to contribute to language technology development in a simple and accessible way. Each assignment is time-sensitive and typically completed within a short turnaround window.
- Listen to short text-to-speech audio clips in Canadian French and evaluate voice quality based on provided rating scales.
- Provide consistent, subjective assessments according to task guidelines and evaluation criteria.
- Complete assigned tasks through an online evaluation platform (ADAP tool).
- Work on a first-come, first-served basis to complete available tasks within expected timelines (typically 2–3 days).
- Follow instructions carefully to ensure accurate and reliable data input for AI training purposes.
- Native-level fluency in Canadian French.
- Current residence in Canada.
- Access to a computer with Chrome or Firefox (mobile devices are not supported).
- Stable internet connection suitable for audio streaming tasks.
- Ability to follow structured instructions and provide consistent subjective ratings.
- Attention to detail and comfort with repetitive listening tasks.
- Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc, task-based schedule with no guaranteed volume of work.
- Fully remote, flexible task-based work.
- Opportunity to contribute to the improvement of speech and voice AI technologies.
- Simple, non-technical tasks suitable for native speakers.
- Short assignment duration with quick completion cycles.
- Exposure to AI data evaluation workflows.
- Variable pay per task, communicated in advance for each assignment.
