Job Title: FSQA Supervisor
Department: Food Safety & Quality Assurance
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Orlando, FL
Reports To: Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality; General Manager
Direct Reports: Sanitation Department Supervisor
Schedule Expectations:
- Minimum 40 hours per week; onsite
- Schedule may vary based on business needs
- Typically Monday–Friday, day shift
- One week per month requires overnight coverage (9:00 PM – 5:00 AM) for sanitation supervision
- Additional hours or weekends as needed
Role Expectations:
- 80% production floor presence
- 20% administrative and documentation responsibilities

Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on FSQA Supervisor to support and strengthen food safety and quality systems at our Orlando bakery. This role is ideal for a food safety professional who thrives on the production floor, enjoys leading sanitation and QA teams, and can balance daily execution with disciplined documentation and continuous improvement.
The FSQA Supervisor serves as the on-site authority for food safety and quality compliance, partnering closely with operations, sanitation, and corporate FSQA leadership to maintain audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and a strong food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Quality Assurance
- Serve as the on-site expert for FSMA, Preventive Controls, HACCP, and SQF compliance
- Maintain SQF certification and audit readiness
- Supervise sanitation operations and environmental monitoring programs
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and oversee QA activities
- Manage food safety documentation, SOPs, training, and records
- Perform internal audits; support mock recalls and traceability exercises
- Facilitate regulatory, customer, and third-party inspections
- Track, analyze, and report audit and QA data to leadership
- Verify food-safety–related work orders and calibration activities
- Create labels and coordinate signage to support GMP and food safety compliance
Operations & Cross-Functional Support
- Support the General Manager and senior operations leadership with food safety KPIs and reporting
- Conduct food safety and quality training for new hires
- Review process operating procedures and batch records
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to reduce food safety risks
- Serve on the site executive safety committee
- Communicate regulatory and corporate food safety updates
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Qualifications (One Required):
- Associate’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field OR
- High School Diploma/GED + 5+ years progressive food safety/QA experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field
- 3+ years QA/Food Safety experience in food manufacturing
- 1+ year supervisory or lead experience
- Bakery or food & beverage manufacturing background
Certifications
- SQF Practitioner
- HACCP Certification
- Food Defense Coordinator Certification
- PCQI required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
- Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and noisy environments
