Manufacturing Engineer
Cedar Springs, MI

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, equipment design, and cross-functional collaboration, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and refine manufacturing workflows, equipment layouts, and procedures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Implement manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, install, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors and Engineers to identify and resolve production inefficiencies.
- Analyze root causes of process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement testing methods to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Analyze production metrics and cost data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with design, quality, maintenance, and production teams to support new product introductions and optimize systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including process flows, procedures, CAD drawings, and reports.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in CAD and CAM software.
- Knowledge of machining and assembly practices.
- Familiarity with SAP preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with vendors and customers.
