Security Officer - Sergeant in Exeter, New Hampshire at Exeter Hospital

In the absentance of the Security Officer - Lieutenant would supervises the day-to-day activities of the Security staff on designated shift. Responsible for maintaining the overall security of the organization.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3-5 years experience
• CPR, Basic TEAM, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol and Handcuffing training
• Satisfactory Driving Record
• Driver license - valid
• IAHSS Basic Certification CPR, Basic TEAM, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol and Handcuffing training
• Must obtain level C of Hazardous Material Technician certification within one year of hire
• IAHSS Certificate for Supervisory Training within two years of employment

Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs duties as outlined in the Security Officers profile on a daily basis.
2. Provides day-to-day supervision and assistance to the Security staff; including scheduling of assignments.
3. Responds and assesses emergency situations including all alarms and codes and provides direction to the Security Staff.
4. Provides assistance to patients; visitors and employees as required. Actively seeks out individuals who may need special assistance.
5. Assists with investigations of on-site accidents or security related incidents; including the completion and submission of any necessary reports.
6. Recommends and assists with the implementation; monitoring and enforcement of security and parking policies and procedures.
7. Assists with the application of restraints.
8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
