DSRT Surf isn’t a traditional workplace, and we’re not looking for a traditional Food & Beverage Manager.

We’re building a fast growing hospitality and lifestyle brand where hospitality, recreation, entertainment, and guest experience come together in a unique way. We’re looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about service, team development, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence.

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading all front of house food and beverage operations across the property. This role oversees service execution, bars, lounges, cabanas, guest dining experiences, staffing, training, and day-to-day operational performance.

This individual will ensure exceptional hospitality, strong team performance, and consistent service standards while helping drive revenue growth and guest satisfaction throughout all food and beverage outlets.

What You'll Do

Front of House Food & Beverage Operations

  • Oversee daily front of house food and beverage operations across all outlets
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards across bars, lounges, cabanas, and guest dining areas
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and service quality throughout all food and beverage locations
  • Lead daily shift execution, opening procedures, closing procedures, and operational readiness
  • Ensure all guest facing areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and presentation ready
  • Support a fun, energetic, and hospitality driven atmosphere throughout the property

Beverage, Service & Revenue Performance

  • Drive food and beverage revenue through exceptional guest service and operational execution
  • Monitor sales performance, labor utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Support beverage program execution, promotions, seasonal offerings, and specialty experiences
  • Identify opportunities to improve guest engagement, average spend, and overall profitability
  • Assist with inventory controls, ordering, receiving, and cost management
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting efforts

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and coach food and beverage team members
  • Develop bartenders, servers, hosts, leads, and supervisors
  • Build a culture of hospitality, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Conduct performance discussions, coaching, and employee development activities
  • Reinforce company standards, policies, and service expectations

Guest Experience & Service Recovery

  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Address guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently
  • Ensure consistent hospitality standards across all guest interactions
  • Help create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visitation and positive reviews

Events, Activations & Cross Department Collaboration

  • Partner with Events, Guest Experience, Marketing, and Operations teams on special events and activations
  • Support private events, cabana experiences, group bookings, and VIP functions
  • Coordinate food and beverage service needs for property wide events and promotions
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure seamless guest experiences throughout the property

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of food and beverage management or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of front of house restaurant, bar, resort, or hospitality operations
  • Experience leading guest facing teams in fast paced environments
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service, food safety, and hospitality best practices
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, POS systems, and inventory controls
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions focused in high volume environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across departments

Compensation

This is an exempt, salaried position. The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $75,000–$85,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, and business needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move throughout operational areas for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat, carry, and perform physical hospitality related tasks
  • Ability to safely navigate active hospitality and operational environments

Current Work Environment

DSRT Surf is currently operating from an active construction and development site as we prepare for opening. Team members may occasionally work around construction activity, dust, noise, uneven surfaces, and changing operational environments.

Appropriate footwear and adherence to all company safety guidelines will be required while on site.

Schedule Expectations

This is a full time, in person position. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and peak operational periods is required based on business needs.
