Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Expansion based in the United States.
As a Senior Product Manager, Expansion, you will own one of the most important growth levers: helping existing customers expand their use of a SaaS platform. You will shape product experiences that turn engagement into additional seats, credits, add-ons, and higher-value plans. Working within a cross-functional product squad, you will partner closely with Product Design, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Support, and adjacent growth teams. You’ll combine deep customer understanding with strong product judgment to identify high-impact opportunities and turn them into measurable outcomes. This is a high-ownership role in an AI-native environment where rapid prototyping and experimentation are encouraged. You’ll have significant autonomy to define strategy, make tradeoffs, and build experiences that directly contribute to revenue growth.
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for customer expansion, focusing on experiences that encourage existing customers to add seats, increase usage, purchase add-ons, or move to higher-value plans.
- Lead the team invite and joiner experience, admin upgrade request flows, credit and plan upsells, and handoffs to sales for qualified expansion opportunities.
- Conduct deep discovery with paying customers, administrators, and end users to understand workflows, friction points, motivations, and unmet needs.
- Translate customer insights and business opportunities into clear product strategies, prioritized roadmaps, specifications, and measurable outcomes.
- Prototype and validate ideas rapidly using AI development tools, LLM capabilities, and lightweight experimentation before committing significant engineering resources.
- Partner closely with Product Design, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Support, Pricing & Packaging, and Free-to-Paid teams to deliver cohesive monetization experiences.
- Define success metrics, instrument product funnels, monitor conversion and expansion performance, and continuously iterate based on data and customer feedback.
- Identify revenue opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and prioritize initiatives according to business impact and customer value.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders, communicate decisions clearly, and maintain momentum from discovery through launch and optimization.
- Use AI and automation as everyday productivity tools to accelerate research, prototyping, analysis, documentation, and execution.
- 4+ years of product management experience in a SaaS environment, with demonstrated ownership of products or experiences from strategy through delivery and optimization.
- Proven ability to identify and unlock revenue opportunities, with examples of measurable business impact from products or initiatives you have helped develop.
- Strong product judgment, including the ability to identify high-leverage problems, make difficult tradeoffs, prioritize effectively, and protect focus.
- High ownership and agency, with the ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments and move initiatives forward without waiting for detailed direction.
- Strong customer empathy and discovery skills, with a focus on making experiences faster, simpler, and more confident for users.
- Excellent cross-functional influence and communication skills, including the ability to build trust and align stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong execution skills, with experience defining, shipping, measuring, and iterating on products without unnecessary complexity or thrash.
- Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate credibly with engineers on performance, reliability, integrations, and implementation considerations.
- Hands-on experience with AI development and prototyping tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, LLM APIs, or comparable technologies; demonstrated ability to build and test working prototypes is highly valued.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to explore multiple approaches and identify opportunities beyond obvious solutions.
- Experience with product-led growth, monetization, billing, pricing, packaging, or expansion experiences is a plus but not required.
- A strong AI-native mindset and willingness to use automation and emerging technologies to work more efficiently and improve product development.
- Base salary and annual bonus, with total cash compensation varying based on career level, experience, qualifications, and location.
- U.S. salary range of $161,900–$202,400 for Tier 1 locations, including San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle.
- U.S. salary range of $140,800–$176,000 for Tier 2 locations.
- Potential equity opportunities and company bonus eligibility.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- At least 10 paid holidays annually, flexible paid time off, and parental leave.
- Employee assistance and wellbeing programs.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with FSA/HSA options.
- Life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
- Global travel coverage.
- Remote work opportunity within the United States.
- An AI-native working environment that encourages experimentation, automation, continuous improvement, and practical use of emerging AI tools.
- Significant ownership, autonomy, and opportunities to make a measurable impact on product growth and revenue.
