Sr Principal Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Principal Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist based in United States.

This senior-level role provides strategic compliance leadership across global supply chain operations supporting U.S. government contracting activities. You will serve as a subject matter expert on commercial determinations, procurement regulations, and supply chain compliance requirements. The position combines regulatory expertise, audit readiness, business operations, and cross-functional collaboration in a highly regulated environment. You will help ensure commercial documentation and procurement activities align with federal acquisition requirements and internal policies. The role offers significant visibility across supply chain functions and interaction with employees and leadership at multiple levels. It is fully remote within the continental United States, with approximately 10% travel.

Accountabilities
  • Audit commercial documentation and commercial determinations to verify compliance with government procurement requirements, internal procurement procedures, and applicable federal regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for global supply chain compliance, advising stakeholders on regulatory requirements, procurement processes, and commercial determination practices.
  • Support Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) audits and related compliance activities, helping ensure documentation and processes are audit-ready.
  • Monitor changes to FAR, DFARS, contractual terms and conditions, procurement manuals, and other applicable requirements, translating updates into operational guidance.
  • Review procurement documentation, including drawings, specifications, statements of work, and related materials, to support accurate commercial determinations and compliance assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional supply chain teams and leadership to resolve compliance issues, strengthen processes, and promote consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Use ERP and business systems, including SAP and Costpoint, alongside Microsoft Office tools to analyze information, document findings, and prepare presentations and reports.
  • Manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive compliance activities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Build effective relationships across organizational levels and communicate complex regulatory and compliance matters clearly to technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal audit activities, process improvements, and broader supply chain compliance initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in global supply chain, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; equivalent relevant expertise should demonstrate comparable senior-level capability.
  • Demonstrated experience working within U.S. government global supply chain environments and familiarity with government procurement requirements.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing or performing commercial determinations, preferably in accordance with internal procedures and applicable federal regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance principles, including FAR, DFARS, procurement terms and conditions, and procurement manuals.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, particularly SAP and Costpoint, as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, project management, planning, presentation, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with employees, functional experts, and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Preferred experience with internal audit processes, CPSR-related activities, company operating procedures, or comparable procurement compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and reviewing technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and statements of work is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred and may be required as a condition of continued employment.
