Job Description

Title: Warehouse Team Member

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

FLSA status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Salary Start: Depends on experience

Work Location: On-site

*All team members are expected to learn and operate within EOS™ (Entrepreneurial Operating System) accountability principles and the Easterseals & Goodwill Industries International (GII) Donated Goods Retail (DGR) operating model.

Seat Purpose:

Safely and efficiently receive, process, store, and move merchandise and donated goods while maintaining accurate records, organized work areas, and dependable warehouse flow.

Core Accountabilities:

Merchandise Handling and Order Fulfillment

• Load, unload, receive, sort, move, and store merchandise and donated goods safely.

• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures.

• Complete assigned shipping, receiving, and material-movement tasks accurately and on time.

• Handle goods carefully to prevent loss or damage.

Equipment Operation and Workplace Safety

• Operate forklifts, balers, terminal tractors, and other warehouse equipment only after completing required training and receiving authorization.

• Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and required use of personal protective equipment.

• Promptly report hazards, incidents, injuries, equipment concerns, or damaged goods.

• Perform physical and manual labor for approximately 85% of the workday while using safe lifting and material-handling practices.

Inventory Control and Documentation

• Maintain accurate inventory records, trailer logs, shipping and receiving documents, and other required records.

• Verify quantities and product information during receiving, storage, picking, and shipping activities.

• Complete documentation within established timelines.

• Identify and promptly report or resolve inventory and documentation discrepancies.

Warehouse Organization, Quality, and Team Support

• Keep warehouse, storage, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly, and ready for continued operations.

• Follow established workflows, quality standards, productivity expectations, and agency policies.

• Support efficient warehouse operations through dependable attendance, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

• Assist with other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Key Metrics:

Merchandise Handling and Order Fulfillment

• On-time completion rate for assigned receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material-movement tasks; order and shipment accuracy rate; and number of preventable merchandise loss or damage incidents.

Equipment Operation and Workplace Safety

• Required safety and equipment training completion rate; number of preventable safety incidents, injuries, or equipment-damage events; and timeliness of hazard, incident, and equipment-concern reporting.

Inventory Control and Documentation

• Inventory and documentation accuracy rate; on-time completion rate for trailer logs and required shipping and receiving records; and discrepancy resolution or escalation time.

Warehouse Organization, Quality, and Team Support

• Daily work-area readiness and housekeeping compliance; achievement of established productivity and quality goals; reliable attendance; and timely communication of workflow issues that could affect warehouse operations.

Required Qualifications:

• High school degree / GED

• Basic safety and first aid knowledge preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

· Communicate both in person and by telephone

· Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment

· Reach with hands and arms

· Lift up to 50 pounds

· Vision abilities include close and distant focus

· Noise level is typically moderate; may on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels

· Must have the ability to drive throughout the state

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Interact effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required when operating an ESGWND vehicle or personal vehicle for company business.
