Job Description

Social Media and Events Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Media and Events Manager based in United States.

This is a highly visible creator role responsible for building brand awareness and credibility among finance and operations professionals.
You will own the social media strategy while helping shape an event program designed to reach and engage the full buying community.
The role combines strategic planning, hands-on content creation, social storytelling, and in-person event representation.
You will create engaging formats such as short-form video, carousels, infographics, product explainers, and event content.
A strong understanding of professional audiences and the ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible way will be essential.
You will also use AI-powered tools to scale content production while maintaining a high standard of quality and authenticity.
This remote opportunity is ideal for a confident communicator who enjoys being on camera, building communities, and representing a brand publicly.

Accountabilities
  • Own the social media strategy and day-to-day execution, establishing a consistent publishing cadence and growing an engaged audience across the finance and operations community.
  • Develop content strategies that increase visibility, credibility, engagement, and awareness among finance and operations professionals.
  • Help shape the event strategy by identifying and prioritizing relevant conferences and industry opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at events through live coverage, interviews, on-site storytelling, and other audience-focused content.
  • Create compelling content across formats, including short-form video, carousels, infographics, event recaps, product explainers, and social posts.
  • Develop content that supports both social and event initiatives, ensuring campaigns and individual pieces reinforce broader marketing objectives.
  • Use AI tools throughout the content production workflow to increase efficiency and scale while applying strong editorial judgment to maintain quality.
  • Participate authentically and credibly in relevant professional communities, including LinkedIn, industry forums, and appropriate online communities.
  • Build relationships and establish credibility with finance, accounting, FP&A, operations, and enterprise technology audiences.
  • Serve as a recognizable public representative of the brand, communicating confidently both online and at industry events.
  • Monitor social and community engagement to identify relevant conversations, emerging topics, and opportunities to strengthen audience relationships.
  • Travel to industry events approximately 2–6 times per year as the event program develops.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B social media, content marketing, creator marketing, or a similar role serving a professional audience.
  • Demonstrated success growing a LinkedIn or other B2B social media channel with meaningful engagement rather than simply increasing follower counts.
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing event content, including live coverage, conference representation, interviews, and post-event recaps.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and representing an organization publicly across digital channels and in-person events.
  • Strong content creation skills with the ability to turn complex professional topics into clear, engaging, and audience-relevant stories.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating AI tools into content workflows, along with the editorial judgment to recognize when AI-generated output requires improvement.
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with finance and operations audiences.
  • Experience creating content for finance, accounting, FP&A, enterprise SaaS, or related professional audiences is a strong advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an authentic, confident, and engaging public presence.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote environment without extensive day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content initiatives, publishing schedules, and event priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 2–6 times per year for industry events as the program grows.
Benefits
  • $80,000–$115,000 annual salary.
  • Fully remote position for employees based in the United States.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of social media strategy and event content initiatives.
  • High-visibility role with the opportunity to become a recognizable voice within finance and operations communities.
  • Hands-on exposure to content creation, social strategy, events, community engagement, and AI-powered marketing workflows.
  • Opportunity to represent the organization at industry conferences and professional events.
  • Collaborative environment focused on building meaningful engagement with professional audiences.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth of an established, financially sustainable software business.
