About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced pre-litigation and litigation environment and is passionate about advocating for injured clients.
What You'll Do
- Manage a full caseload of personal injury files from intake through settlement
- Draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents
- Communicate directly with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Order, organize, and summarize medical records and bills
- Calculate damages, liens, and prepare settlement statements
- Maintain case files and deadlines using firm case management software
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and witness coordination
- Track statutes of limitations and ensure all deadlines are met
- Coordinate with out of state counsel on matters around the country
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a paralegal at a plaintiff's personal injury law firm (required)
- Strong working knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures
- Experience handling auto accident, slip and fall, and/or premises liability claims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required with sufficient relevant experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
