Business Process Analyst Sr./Scrum Master

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Process Analyst Sr./Scrum Master based in the United States.

This is a remote, senior-level opportunity combining business process analysis with hands-on Scrum Master responsibilities.
You’ll help cross-functional teams translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
The role focuses on improving processes, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling effective delivery through Agile practices.
You’ll work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, technical teams, data analysts, and operational stakeholders.
Your expertise will help teams stay aligned, remove delivery obstacles, and continuously improve how they plan and execute work.

Accountabilities:
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Scrum meetings, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, helping teams maintain momentum and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and organize Jira tasks across multiple Scrum and Kanban teams while tracking sprint progress, dependencies, and commitments.
  • Serve as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, resolving impediments, and maintaining alignment throughout delivery.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, operational performance, automation, and strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, document, validate, and translate business and functional requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation to guide solution development and implementation.
  • Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, technical teams, data analysts, and operational teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
  • Maintain structured documentation and connected project artifacts in Confluence while using Jira to provide clear visibility into requirements, development, operations, and reporting.
  • Use AI productivity tools such as Claude and Copilot to support project management, prioritization, follow-up, and timely completion of commitments.
  • Support broader team initiatives and contribute to related business analysis, process improvement, and delivery activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business process analysis, business analysis, Scrum Master, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, with an Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven ability to gather and document requirements and create high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence for requirements management, workflow tracking, documentation, and project coordination.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements and technical execution while working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and commitments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other process improvement frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience integrating business and operational data with Jira and Confluence for traceability, reporting, or workflow automation is desirable.
  • Familiarity with refugee and immigrant populations or other social programs is considered an advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to use AI tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, organization, and execution.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain and maintain BI Full 6C (T4) public trust clearance.
  • This is a fully remote position with no regular travel requirements.
