You will take on a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping, scaling, and evolving a global engineering organization operating in a high-scale, data-intensive environment. This position combines strategic leadership with deep technical oversight, ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems that support large volumes of global digital traffic. You will lead engineering managers and distributed teams across a fully remote setup, building a strong culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. A key focus of the role is driving modernization across the software development lifecycle, including the strategic integration of AI tools to improve engineering efficiency and delivery speed. You will work closely with product and business leadership to ensure engineering execution is aligned with customer outcomes and company growth objectives. This is a high-impact leadership position where your decisions will directly influence platform stability, team performance, and organizational scalability. - Lead, mentor, and scale a global, fully remote engineering organization, including engineering managers and software engineers, while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and psychological safety.
- Define and optimize engineering organizational design, ensuring effective team structures, clear career progression paths, and strong succession planning.
- Partner closely with product leadership to align engineering execution with product strategy, ensuring cross-functional teams are focused on customer outcomes.
- Oversee architectural integrity, scalability, security, and performance of high-volume distributed systems supporting global-scale operations.
- Balance technical debt reduction with feature delivery, ensuring sustainable system evolution and cost-efficient infrastructure.
- Establish and track engineering performance metrics (e.g., DORA, SPACE) to identify bottlenecks and improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead the adoption of AI-powered engineering tools and automation across the SDLC to improve developer productivity and reduce operational friction.
- Ensure strong compliance, data privacy, and security practices across all engineering processes and systems.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in leadership roles managing engineering managers in SaaS, Ad Tech, or high-scale distributed systems environments.
- Proven experience scaling and leading large, fully remote, globally distributed engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated ability to make pragmatic technical trade-offs between speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Strong metrics-driven mindset with hands-on experience using frameworks such as DORA or SPACE to improve engineering performance.
- Experience driving engineering transformation initiatives, including automation and process optimization.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a practical understanding of their application in engineering workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
