Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain operations within our manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production continuity by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating procurement activities across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to manage vendor relationships are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support production schedules, inventory requirements, and company objectives
• Source raw materials, components, and manufacturing supplies while negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and cost efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze purchasing trends to prevent shortages, production delays, and excess inventory
• Coordinate purchasing activities with production, engineering, warehouse, and logistics teams to support manufacturing operations
• Utilize ERP, MRP, SAP, and Oracle EBS systems to manage purchasing data, inventory tracking, and procurement reporting
• Review supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Analyze market conditions, pricing trends, and sourcing opportunities to support cost savings initiatives
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, purchasing policies, and company standards
• Assist with inventory audits, reporting, forecasting, and material planning activities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory control, or manufacturing operations
• Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems
• Experience with SAP and Oracle EBS preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Local candidates preferred
