- Design and implement scalable secrets management frameworks that can be consistently adopted across multiple applications and engineering teams.
- Develop secure integration patterns utilizing Azure-native services, including Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and cloud security controls.
- Create and implement reusable Python-based frameworks and security wrappers that standardize secrets handling and secure application development practices.
- Provide architectural guidance for secure application integrations across Python, .NET, SQL Server, and future technology platforms.
- Establish and document DevSecOps standards covering pipeline security, secret scanning, deployment controls, approval workflows, and secure software delivery processes.
- Evaluate software development lifecycle practices and recommend improvements to strengthen governance, security, compliance, and operational consistency.
- Troubleshoot complex deployment, networking, authentication, and cloud security issues that affect application performance and solution adoption.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and senior stakeholders to define implementation roadmaps, security strategies, and future-state architecture models.
- Produce architecture documentation, technical standards, implementation guides, and reusable playbooks that support long-term organizational adoption.
- Deliver technical demonstrations, coaching, and knowledge transfer sessions to accelerate team capability and self-sufficiency.
Requirements:

- Strong expertise designing and implementing enterprise-grade secrets management solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Azure-native security services.
- Deep understanding of Azure cloud architecture, secure application integration patterns, and cloud security best practices.
- Proven experience designing secure application development, deployment, and operational frameworks.
- Strong Python development skills with experience building reusable security frameworks and automation solutions.
- Working knowledge of .NET application architectures and secure integration methodologies.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps controls across CI/CD pipelines, software delivery workflows, and cloud-native environments.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, source control systems, deployment automation, and infrastructure security practices.
- Experience implementing secret scanning, security validation, vulnerability management, and secure deployment controls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, authentication systems, networking, application security, and deployment environments.
- Ability to assess complex technical environments, identify gaps, and develop practical remediation and improvement plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence technical leaders, architects, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience with GitHub-based workflows, security-sensitive environments, secure coding practices, or enterprise security transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
- Experience creating technical standards, architecture frameworks, and reusable implementation patterns is preferred.
Benefits:
- Fully remote consulting engagement available anywhere within the United States.
- Flexible work schedule that supports work-life balance and independent project execution.
- Opportunity to lead a high-visibility security and cloud transformation initiative.
- Exposure to modern Azure technologies, DevSecOps practices, and enterprise security architecture.
