This role sits at the core of an AI-driven enterprise platform transforming how industrial and manufacturing organizations manage procurement at scale. You will help design and build systems that turn fragmented, messy enterprise data into structured, actionable intelligence using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows. Working closely with founding engineers, you’ll contribute across backend services, AI infrastructure, and user-facing interfaces, shaping both architecture and execution. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and highly iterative, with a strong emphasis on shipping production-ready systems quickly using modern AI-assisted development tools. This is a high-impact role where engineering decisions directly influence enterprise customer outcomes, efficiency gains, and cost savings. You’ll operate at the intersection of applied AI, scalable backend systems, and product thinking, helping define the foundation of a rapidly growing AI platform.

• Build and scale backend services powering AI-driven procurement workflows, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across enterprise use cases
• Design and implement LLM-based pipelines, RAG systems, and agentic workflows for spend analysis, supplier insights, and procurement automation
• Develop and maintain APIs and data processing systems that integrate with ERP systems, invoices, supplier data, and other complex enterprise sources
• Contribute to the React-based frontend (Buyer Portal), delivering intuitive, high-quality interfaces for procurement teams
• Collaborate closely with founding engineers on system architecture, technical trade-offs, and end-to-end product execution
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, iteration, and delivery of production-grade systems
• Ensure observability, performance, and maintainability across services while continuously improving system design and engineering practices

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and full-stack capabilities
• Proven experience building and shipping production systems in fast-paced startup or high-ownership environments
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and React, with ability to work across frontend and backend layers
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI systems such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, or agentic workflows
• Experience working with complex, real-world enterprise datasets and system integrations (ERP, invoices, external APIs)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) and modern AI-first engineering workflows
• Strong product intuition, system design skills, and ability to balance speed, scalability, and correctness
• Ownership mindset with ability to independently drive features from idea to production
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
