PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Spa at Holbrook Esthetician performs various facial and waxing techniques and spa treatments for high-end clients, maintaining pristine treatment rooms and handling client consultations and aftercare recommendations. Key responsibilities include performing a range of skin care and facial services, assessing client needs, adhering to spa protocols and sanitation standards, recommending skin care products, maintaining their client retention rates, and ensuring a comfortable, luxurious client experience. They also manage administrative tasks such as updating client profiles and maintaining inventory. Represents the know-how, attention to detail and elegance of The Spa at Holbrook. Deliver a luxurious, five-star client experience that embodies Holbrook’s values of Luxury, Hospitality, and Wonder.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Luxury Service Standards
- Provide a warm welcome using each client’s name.
- Anticipate comfort needs and adjust environment accordingly.
- Conclude each treatment and service with a personalized farewell and skincare recommendation card, and invitation for the future service.
- Health, Safety, and Sanitation
- Adheres to OSHA, ADA, and Georgia State Board of Cosmetology standards.
- Complies with all product safety and device usage requirements under FDA and state law.
- Ensures all sanitation and disinfection procedures promote client confidence and visible cleanliness.
- Maintains a tranquil environment where safety and relaxation coexist.
- Client Consultation
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand individual skin health histories, preferences, and any specific concerns or conditions.
- Tailor facial treatments based on the client’s needs and preferences.
- Facials, waxing and other skin care treatments
- Perform all menu offerings of skin care and facial techniques, inclusive of Hydrafacial therapies
- Administer specialized esthetic treatments, including waxing and lash tinting.
- Technical Proficiency
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in various skin care modalities, staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Utilize knowledge of skin, skin physiology, anatomy, and chemistry to address specific client concerns.
- Maintaining Treatment Rooms
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, well-stocked, and prepared for each client.
- Create a tranquil and comfortable environment conducive to relaxation.
- Product Knowledge
- Stay informed about skin care trends, ingredients, and products.
- Educate clients on the benefits of different products and recommend home care routines to continue the work on their results at home.
- Client Partnership and Education
- Partners with clients to develop personalized skincare and wellness plans emphasizing education and consistency.
- Provide clients with information on post-treatment care, including hydration, skin care regimens, hydration, and sun prevention practices.
- Offer advice on lifestyle changes that may enhance the benefits of spa treatments.
- Maintain 50% - 70% first time client retention and 75% - 85% returning client retention.
- Make recommendations on Club and Spa Memberships
- Health and safety Compliance
- Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, including cleanliness, sanitation, and proper use of equipment.
- Maintain a hygienic and safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Client Education and Recommending Add-ons and Upgrades
- Make recommendations of additional spa services or retail products based on the client’s needs and preferences.
- Contribute to the achievement of sales targets through effective communication and product knowledge.
- Continuing Education
- Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about new esthetic techniques and skin care therapies.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and industry conferences.
- Participates in professional and sensory-awareness training aligned with Holbrook’s Five-Star Service Standards.
- Client relationship management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a sense of trust and comfort.
- Solicit and respond to client feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain 75% - 85% rebooking rates.
- Achieve Client Retention Rates of 50% - 75%
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with other spa team members, including massage therapists, salon professionals, nail technicians, wellness consultants, and concierge staff, to provide a cohesive and integrated spa experience.
- Attendance and arrivals are timely to ensure client and treatment area preparation are on point.
- If needing time off your schedule, you must acquire another team member to cover your schedule.

- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt skin care protocols and techniques to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as required to support client experience, operational needs, or the success of The Spa at Holbrook.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License
- Active State of Georgia Esthetic License, dual licensing preferred
- Three (3) years’ experience working as an esthetician in a luxury establishment or with a luxury brand
- Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards
- Mastery of facial, waxing and advanced treatment techniques

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.
- Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting environment.
- Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
- Frequently needs to stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms' reach.
- Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
