Terminal Manager in NEWARK, New Jersey at SALSON LOGISTICS INC

Position Description: SalSon Logistics is seeking a driven and experienced Terminal Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our Newark, NJ facility. This role is critical to ensuring efficient warehouse and transportation operations, driving performance, and maintaining high service standards across the organization.

• Oversee daily warehouse and transportation operations including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff, supervisors, and operational teams
• Ensure efficient workflow, productivity, and labor utilization across all shifts
• Monitor KPIs (productivity, safety, service levels) and implement improvements
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Enforce safety standards, company policies, and regulatory compliance
• Identify operational inefficiencies and drive process improvements
• Partner with HR, Safety, and Senior Leadership to align operational goals
• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and overtime to control costs
• Oversee equipment, facility maintenance, and operational readiness

• 3–7+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or transportation operations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of supply chain, distribution, and warehouse operations
• Experience with WMS, TMS, or related systems preferred
• Ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and drive operational improvements
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
