About the RoleThe Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting plant operations by performing routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position focuses on troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency and product quality.
The successful candidate will work closely with production and maintenance leadership to quickly identify and resolve equipment malfunctions while supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working with industrial equipment, and contributing directly to plant performance and operational success.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience, training, or general knowledge of electrical troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures, including chains, sprockets, bearings, and belt replacement
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
- Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and automated equipment
- Basic welding, fabrication, or mechanical repair experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and troubleshooting production equipment
- Flexibility to work overtime or varying shifts as needed to support production schedules
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair activities on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and testing equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions
- Work closely with production teams during uptime to support operational efficiency and address equipment concerns
- Collaborate with maintenance and production leadership to prioritize urgent repairs and maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, repairs completed, and parts usage
- Support inventory management of maintenance parts and supplies to ensure availability of critical components
- Adhere to all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE standards
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvements, reliability enhancements, and process efficiencies
- Assist with facility upkeep and additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain industrial equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond quickly to equipment issues

This position works in a manufacturing environment where temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the season. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, moving machinery, and occasional outdoor conditions while performing maintenance activities.
Physical DemandsThis role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment and performing hands-on physical work.
