NetSuite Systems Administrator (Implementation Lead)
Location: MUST LIVE IN TAMPA, FL (Primary) with support for Adel, GA operations. THIS IS AN IN-PERSON role at our corporate office in Tampa, FL
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: CFO (or designated executive sponsor)
Position Summary
Southeast Steel Systems is seeking an experienced NetSuite Systems Administrator / Implementation Lead to own and lead the company’s migration from QuickBooks to NetSuite and serve as the long-term subject matter expert for the NetSuite ERP platform.
This role is critical to the success of our financial, operational, and manufacturing systems across two locations (Tampa, FL, and Adel, GA). The ideal candidate is a hands-on NetSuite expert or super user with deep functional and technical knowledge who can lead implementation, optimize workflows, partner with Finance and Operations, and ensure NetSuite becomes a scalable, reliable system supporting our steel manufacturing business.
This role will be responsible for training the team on NetSuite.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Implementation & Ownership
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of NetSuite, including migration from QuickBooks
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to define scope, timeline, and deliverables
- Configure NetSuite modules, including (but not limited to):
- Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets)
- Inventory & Supply Chain
- Manufacturing / Work Orders (as applicable)
- Projects / Job Costing
- Purchasing
- Reporting & Dashboards
- Own data migration strategy, validation, and reconciliation from legacy systems
- Ensure system setup aligns with manufacturing, operational, and financial best practices
System Administration & Optimization
- Serve as the primary NetSuite System Administrator and Super User
- Configure and maintain roles, permissions, workflows, approvals, forms, and saved searches
- Design and maintain custom reports, KPIs, dashboards, and analytics
- Manage system releases, testing, and change management
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency across departments
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the bridge between Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and Leadership
- Translate business requirements into NetSuite solutions
- Support job costing, inventory accuracy, production tracking, and financial close processes
- Train end users and develop documentation and best practices
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
Governance & Controls
- Ensure data integrity, system controls, and audit readiness
- Support internal controls, segregation of duties, and compliance requirements
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience as a System Administrator, Analyst, or Architect
- Proven experience leading or heavily supporting a NetSuite implementation
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite Financials and ERP workflows
- Experience migrating from QuickBooks or similar accounting systems to NetSuite
- Advanced skills with saved searches, workflows, reporting, and dashboards
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the system
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, steel, or industrial environments
- NetSuite certifications (Administrator, ERP Consultant, or similar)
- Experience with integrations, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, or SuiteScript (a plus)
- Multi-location ERP experience
