About This Position

Tampa Microwave is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Manpack & Fly Away satellite terminals designed and built for the expeditionary user community to guarantee communications connectivity in the most austere environments. Tampa Microwave primarily serves Federal and Department of Defense markets.

We are seeking to fill a Configuration Manager position located in our Clearwater, FL location. This position reports to the Mechanical Design Manager

Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of all configuration items and associated data throughout the product or system lifecycle. Ensure effective configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and verification processes are implemented and adhered to. Safeguard data through structured access control, version management, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, enabling consistent, reliable, and auditable configuration baselines.Coordinate with the Planning and Production departments to ensure accurate configuration control, enabling timely updates to product specifications and documentation, while monitoring and maintaining delivery schedules to meet customer and project deadlines.Oversee Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) to review, approve, and implement engineering change requests (ECRs) while minimizing mission impact.Oversee the configuration management team, ensuring process compliance, quality, and timelines, while leading, mentoring, and coordinating efforts to maintain documentation, control changes, and support goals.Lead efforts to enhance and define the Change Management process to drive long-term organizational successOther duties as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include workforce/staffing plans, ensuring staff is performing to expectations, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; preparing performance appraisals, rewarding, and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities. Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures

U.S. Citizenship RequiredAbility to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance upon hire as requiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a closely related discipline. In lieu of a degree, candidates with an additional five (5) years of directly related experience will be considered.Proven track record with 15 years of sustained experience in Configuration Management within a manufacturing environment, leading cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust configuration control processesAt least 5 years of proven supervisory experience, with the ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively; Configuration Management background is beneficial but not mandatory.Expertise in data and configuration control across complex systems. Skilled in implementing plans, ensuring compliance, maintaining baselines, and coordinating teams to ensure traceability, minimize risks, and support efficient decision-making.Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software Windchill, or similar.Excellent verbal and written communications – Fluent in English.Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
