Broker Support Officer

Position Overview
The Broker Support Officer will provide efficient offshore operational support to our client’s mortgage consulting services.
This role is focused on accurate data entry, document management, and preparation of compliance documentation to support the efficient progression of loan applications.
Candidates will have a minimum of 3 to 4 years Australian mortgage experience, and a good working knowledge of the end-to-end mortgage process.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Processing & Data Management
- Accurate data entry of loan applications into ApplyOnline (AOL) and client CRM systems.
- Maintain and update loan application records across relevant platforms.
- Ensure all data is complete, accurate, and aligned with supporting documentation.
Document Collection & Organisation
- Collate, review, and organise client documentation in line with lender and compliance requirements.
- Maintain structured digital filing systems for each application.
- Identify missing or incomplete documentation for follow-up by the client.
Financial Data Extraction
- Extract and summarise key financial data from bank statements, payslips, tax returns, and other financial documents.
- Accurately interpret income, expenses, liabilities, and supporting financial information.
Compliance & Application Support
- Prepare compliance documentation including Best Interest Duty (BID) forms and supporting application documents.
- Assist in ensuring applications meet lender and regulatory requirements prior to submission.
General Administration Support
- Provide administrative support across the loan processing lifecycle.
- Assist the client team in progressing applications efficiently through each stage.
- Coordinate loan settlements and discharges to ensure timely and efficient completion.
Skills, Experience, and Technical Knowledge
- 3–4 years’ experience in Australian mortgage processing or financial services
- Demonstrated experience supporting loan applications end-to-end
- Familiarity with ApplyOnline (AOL) is highly preferred
- Strong ability to interpret financial documents, including Bank statements, Payslips and income verification, and financial statements and tax returns
- Understanding of Australian lending documentation and compliance requirements
- Experience with self-employed lending, trusts, company borrowers, and other non-standard mortgage structures.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
