The role requires careful review of approved loans, verification of documentation, execution of settlement transactions, and completion of post-settlement administrative tasks.
The Settlements Officer plays a critical role in protecting the organisation from financial loss, operational error, and fraud risk.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review approved loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with credit approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Perform identity verification and compliance checks in accordance with responsible lending and AML/CTF requirements, escalating any discrepancies or potential fraud indicators.
  • Conduct pre-settlement customer confirmation calls to verify key loan details and direct debit arrangements.
  • Execute settlement workflows, including processing funding disbursements, generating payment files, issuing settlement confirmations, and registering security interests (PPSR).
  • Complete post-settlement administration, including updating system records, managing commission workflows, maintaining insurance and tracking records, and supporting operational KPI reporting.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Demonstrated experience in loan settlements, credit administration, or lending operations within financial services, consumer lending, or asset finance environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial documentation and settlement data.
  • An understanding of responsible lending obligations, AML/CTF compliance requirements, and identity verification processes, with the ability to identify discrepancies or potential fraud indicators.
  • Proficiency in loan management systems (preferably finPOWER or similar platforms) and the ability to manage settlement workflows efficiently.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple settlements and meet tight deadlines.
  • Clear verbal communication skills, particularly when confirming loan details with customers and liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • High level of accountability, professionalism, and process discipline in a compliance-driven environment.
We’re offering:
  • Competitive salary, allowances and benefits.
  • A supportive and positive work environment.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Australian business hours (morning/day shift),
  • Schedule Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday
  • Full time onsite in Ortigas (near Robinsons Galleria)
