This role sits at the intersection of Workday Recruiting expertise and strategic advisory consulting, supporting enterprise clients in optimizing and scaling their talent acquisition processes. You will act as a trusted AMS (Application Management Services) advisor, guiding organizations through configuration, enhancement, and continuous improvement of their Workday Recruiting environments. The position combines hands-on functional configuration with client-facing consulting, ensuring solutions are both technically sound and aligned with business needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including integrations, data migration, and project management stakeholders. Operating in a fully remote environment across the US and Canada, you will contribute to complex, multi-client engagements. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly shapes system adoption and long-term client success. You will also mentor junior consultants and help elevate delivery standards across teams.
- Provide deep functional expertise in the Workday HCM suite, with a strong focus on Recruiting, supporting configuration, deployment, testing, and optimization activities across client environments built on Workday.
- Lead or support end-to-end implementation activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, validation, and client knowledge transfer, ensuring scalable and maintainable configurations.
- Collaborate with data conversion and integration teams to support legacy data migration and system connectivity with third-party platforms such as SAP, Oracle, ADP, and similar systems.
- Advise clients on Workday best practices, ensuring strong adoption of Recruiting and HCM capabilities while maintaining long-term system health and usability.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants, contributing to knowledge sharing, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement of consulting methodologies.
- Provide clear project updates, risk insights, and status reporting to project managers and stakeholders across multiple concurrent engagements.
- 4+ years of experience configuring and implementing enterprise HCM or Recruiting solutions, with hands-on experience in consulting or software implementation environments.
- Current certification or prior certification in Workday HCM and/or Recruiting modules, with strong functional knowledge of talent acquisition workflows.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, or UKG (formerly Ultimate Software), with the ability to translate business needs into system configurations.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, solution documentation, and functional design in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced consulting environments.
- Strong mentoring mindset, collaborative approach, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Remote-first flexibility across the United States and Canada
- Competitive consulting compensation aligned with experience and certification level
- Opportunities to work on large-scale enterprise Workday implementations
- Professional development support and ongoing certification maintenance
- Exposure to complex, multi-system HR technology ecosystems
- Collaborative, knowledge-driven consulting culture with mentoring opportunities
- Travel limited to approximately 5% depending on project needs
