HOW A DEVOPS TEAM LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
You will lead the implementation of resilient cloud architecture, lifecycle management, automation strategies, and proactive monitoring to meet the stringent performance, compliance, and security requirements of public sector operations.
Job Duties:
- Leads DevOps team to support customer system's operations, sustainment, maintenance, and customer/user support in multiple environments across several security enclaves.
- Direct and manage DevOps team for investigation and resolution of customer issues, system discrepancies, and other required maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and perform software problem analysis, modification testing, system, and security administration.
- Create, maintain, update, new and current documentation related to operations, sustainment, maintenance and customer support (SLAs, SOPs, etc).
- Ability to receive code from development team to perform system builds and hardening.
- Perform automated testing and security scans
- Manage and document system security and work with Development to ensure all systems are security compliant.
- Author helm charts to deploy systems to multiple OpenShift environments (Dev & Ops)
- Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
- Manage system level PKI certifications, including NPEs, in all system environments.
- Based on customer requirements, design, implement and monitor user and system metrics for all users and systems across all environments.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Skills/Qualifications
Required:
- TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or STEM field
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in leading a team to perform system sustainment, administration, security, integration, and testing on a program or project (performing search and discovery across 15 environments)
- 5+ years demonstrated experience with DoD and ICD Cyber Security Requirements and implementation.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud services.
- Current Security+ certification
- Experience working with an Agile Development team utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Experience providing input to the team involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
- Knowledgeable of containerization, monitoring & logging, and network & security
Desired:
- 5+ years demonstrated experience with geospatial information system operations and sustainment.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in application software operations and sustainment.
- Current CISSP or CISM certification.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment
- Experience with delivery of an integrated software development solution.
- Experience in System Engineering and project management.
- Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products.
- Working experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, ArgoCD, or similar)
- Working experience with Service+ and Jira to track user issues as well as development stories.
- Understand basic networking TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift
- In-depth knowledge, principles, and methods of enterprise solutions.
- Be familiar with researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide cloud solutions and/or applications software.
- Designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs highly complex new software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software.
- Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.
- Factors emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation.
- Ability to manage storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
- Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- Comfortable using Python and BASH to create systems tooling
- Provides incident resolution to users and customers.
- Ability to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositories
- Experience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applications
- Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases
