Position Overview
Premier Association Management is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Operations Manager to lead and grow our maintenance division. This is a working management position responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, managing personnel, supporting community managers and Boards, and performing maintenance-related tasks when needed.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the technical knowledge necessary to support a variety of maintenance projects across multiple communities. This individual will play a key role in expanding the division and helping build a team of maintenance technicians as the department continues to grow.
This position supports communities throughout Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Lake, Osceola, and Polk Counties, with the majority of work currently concentrated in Orange, Seminole, and Volusia Counties.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance management or facilities management experience required
- Proven experience supervising and developing employees
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to perform maintenance work in the field as needed
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and basic computer systems
- Experience creating proposals, scopes of work, and RFPs preferred
- Knowledge of vendor management and contractor oversight
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Central Florida communities

Leadership & Department Growth
- Lead the continued growth and development of the maintenance division
- Supervise and support the department's maintenance staff
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing future maintenance technicians
- Establish and improve maintenance processes and operational procedures
- Build strong working relationships with Community Association Managers and Boards of Directors
- Serve as a maintenance resource and subject matter expert for communities
- Attend on-site meetings as needed to support management teams and projects
- Perform maintenance work and field inspections as required
- Project manage maintenance and capital improvement projects
- Meet with vendors on-site and assist with project coordination
- Create scopes of work and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for community projects
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and completion standards
- Maintain billing spreadsheets and project documentation
- Track maintenance activities and departmental performance
- Assist with budgeting and operational planning as needed
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment
- Coordinate routine service and repairs for company trucks
- Ensure vehicles remain safe, operational, and properly maintained
