Assistant Project Manager (Construction)
The Carabetta Companies | SRC Construction Connecticut (Multiple Locations)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (varies by project)
Pay: Based on Experience
SRC Construction, a Carabetta company, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support construction projects across Connecticut. This role works closely with Project Managers and field teams to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with project planning, scopes, and scheduling
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients
- Interpret drawings, contracts, and technical documents
- Track project progress and maintain daily reports/logs
- Help manage subcontractor scheduling and material procurement
- Support quality control and ensure work meets specifications
- Assist in resolving project issues, delays, and field challenges
- Support job site safety compliance, inspections, and documentation
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of construction experience (Assistant PM, Project Coordinator, or similar)
- Experience with historic restoration / SHPO projects preferred
- Knowledge of:
- Masonry and architectural restoration
- Demo, lead/asbestos abatement, and site remediation
- Structural rehab (foundations, walls, shoring, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts
- Experience coordinating with local municipalities and utility companies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and scheduling software (MS Project preferred)
- OSHA 10 required (or ability to obtain)

- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
