About the Role:
The Residential Plumbing Service Manager oversees and coordinates all plumbing service operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across residential and commercial projects. This role is pivotal in managing a team of skilled plumbers, scheduling service calls, and maintaining strong client relationships to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business. The manager will be responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with safety and industry regulations, ensuring all work meets company standards and legal requirements. Additionally, the role involves continuous process improvement, training, and mentoring staff to enhance technical skills and service excellence. Ultimately, the Plumbing Service Manager will lead the service department to achieve operational goals, profitability, and a reputation for reliability and professionalism within the United States market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in plumbing is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in plumbing services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.
- Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and customer service operations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in construction management, business administration, or a related field experience.
- Certification as a Master Plumber or equivalent professional credential. Preferred but not required
- Experience with plumbing service management software and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and staff development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the plumbing service team, including scheduling, dispatching, and overseeing service calls.
- Supervise, train, and mentor plumbing technicians to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Develop and implement service procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve service issues, and maintain strong client relationships to promote customer retention.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation for service projects.
- Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to ensure availability of necessary materials and equipment.
- Analyze service performance metrics and generate reports to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

The Plumbing Service Manager will utilize technical plumbing knowledge daily to assess job requirements and guide the team in executing repairs and installations efficiently.
