Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor. This hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Specific duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to,
- Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
- Supervise personnel working in all facets of the Maintenance Department.
- Provide maintenance and repair service for Select Sires vehicles and machinery.
- Provide care and maintenance for Select Sires premises.
- Provide nighttime and weekend security personnel for Select Sires facilities along Route 42.
- Participate in planning and construction phases of Select Sires building and remodel projects.
A Maintenance Supervisor's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES OF A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
- Outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the facilities electricity
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Groundskeeping to maintain lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
- CDL
- State of Ohio Class One Water License to conduct tests required by EPA, if needed
- License to purchase and handle Freon gas
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
- Ability to constantly (6 – 8 hours) Stand/walk
- Ability to frequently (3 – 6 hours) Bend/stoop
- Ability to occasionally (1 – 3 hours) sit, squat/kneel, twist, Floor Lift (0-17”) 21 – 50 lbs, Knee Lift (18”-29”) 21 – 50 lbs, Waist Lift (30”-36”) 51 – 100 lbs, Chest Lift (37”-60”) 51 – 100 lbs, Overhead Lift (>60”) 21 – 50 lbs, Push/Pull 51 – 100 lbs, Carry 51 – 100 lbs
- Ability to seldomly (0 – 1 hours) Climb stairs, Crawl
