Director, Clinical Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Clinical Strategy based in the United States.

This is a senior clinical leadership role sitting at the intersection of healthcare delivery, education, and commercial strategy. The role acts as a trusted clinical authority in conversations with senior nursing and hospital leadership, helping shape how workforce development programs are understood, evaluated, and adopted. You will serve as a bridge between clinical realities and go-to-market execution, ensuring credibility, accuracy, and alignment in every external and internal interaction. A significant portion of your time will be spent engaging directly with healthcare executives, building relationships that extend beyond individual deals. Internally, you will influence product, sales, and marketing decisions through a clinical lens grounded in frontline and leadership experience. This role is highly visible, externally facing, and central to strengthening trust and adoption across healthcare systems. It also requires comfort operating in fast-moving, mission-driven environments with national impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Act as the primary clinical authority in go-to-market engagements, partnering with sales teams to engage healthcare executives and CNO-level stakeholders in peer-to-peer discussions that build trust and credibility.
  • Lead clinical validation during the sales process by addressing objections, supporting buyer justification, and reinforcing the clinical value of workforce training programs.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clinical leaders and champions across health systems to support adoption, expansion, and sustained engagement.
  • Serve as the internal clinical voice for product, program, and marketing decisions, ensuring all messaging, claims, and use cases reflect real-world nursing and care delivery realities.
  • Coach commercial teams on clinical fluency, healthcare delivery models, and executive priorities to improve effectiveness in customer conversations.
  • Represent the organization externally through conferences, advisory engagements, and thought leadership initiatives to strengthen credibility within nursing leadership communities.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of clinical nursing experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as Director of Nursing, VP of Patient Care, CNO, or equivalent within a recognized healthcare system.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required; additional advanced credentials (DNP, CENP, NEA-BC) are a strong plus.
  • Proven experience operating in environments involving vendor evaluation, procurement decisions, or clinical/operational technology adoption.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex clinical concepts clearly and confidently to both executive and cross-functional audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing or participating in clinical education, professional development, or workforce transformation initiatives.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to operate effectively in sales-driven environments and contribute to deal progression.
  • Established credibility within healthcare networks, with prior exposure to large, complex, or academic health systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and operate as a peer to senior clinical executives.
Benefits:
  • Base salary range: $190,000 – $220,000 annually
  • Meaningful equity (ISOs) as part of total compensation package
  • Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and commuter benefits
  • Learning and professional development stipend
  • Open vacation policy with guidance of 15 PTO days annually
  • Additional 15 work-from-anywhere days and 10 observed public holidays
  • One-week company-wide closure in late December
  • Fully remote work flexibility within the United States
  • Equity participation aligned with long-term company growth
