  • Strong knowledge of medical, financial, and non-medical risk evaluation principles
  • Experience underwriting both term and permanent life insurance products, including adult and juvenile cases
  • Familiarity with underwriting rules engines and automated decisioning systems
  • Ability to interpret complex medical and financial information to make sound underwriting judgments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain decisions clearly
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making ability
  • Experience working in environments that require adaptability and comfort with ambiguity
  • Professional underwriting certifications (LOMA, ALMI, FALU, FMLI, etc.) preferred or in progress
  • Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and continuous improvement
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $77,000 to $136,000 depending on experience and location
  • Additional eligibility for bonus compensation and other performance-based incentives
