Veterinary Technician in El Paso, Texas at Stellar Veterinary Services PLLC

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, works well in a collaborative environment, and communicates effectively with both team members and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Perform and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision
• Obtain and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.)
• Conduct radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as needed
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and accurate treatment
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Educate clients on pet care, treatment plans, and medication instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area
• Support patient handling and restraint with a focus on safety and low-stress techniques

• Veterinary Technician certification or licensure preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT) or eligibility to obtain certification or 3+ years of experience
• Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
• Experience with patient handling, restraint, and low-stress handling techniques
• Ability to assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support (or willingness to be trained)
• Competency in collecting and processing laboratory samples
• Basic proficiency with radiography and diagnostic imaging (or willingness to learn)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills with both team members and clients
• Compassion for animals and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Ability to lift, restrain, and handle animals of varying sizes when needed
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays if required
• Proficiency with veterinary software is a plus
