Launching in the Fall of 2026, Recess Hotel & Club will transform Savannah’s storied Manger Building into a new kind of lifestyle hotel and clubhouse. With 221 rooms—including suites and bunk rooms—plus co-working, a rooftop pool, a circuit-based wellness club, a French brasserie, and layered social spaces, Recess is designed as a “public club”: a private clubhouse for all. About the role
Le Flâneur, the signature French brasserie at Recess Hotel & Club, is seeking energetic, hospitality-driven Server Assistants to join our team. Inspired by the timeless charm of a French brasserie, Le Flâneur offers a vibrant dining experience rooted in genuine hospitality, exceptional food and beverage, and meaningful guest connections.
As a Server Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the dining room team and ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What you'll do
- Support servers in delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout service
- Assist with food delivery and table maintenance according to restaurant standards
- Pre-bus and reset tables promptly and efficiently
- Refill water, bread service, and other guest amenities as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, service stations, and guest areas
- Stock service stations with necessary supplies before, during, and after service
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, bartenders, and culinary team members
- Help maintain a polished and welcoming dining environment
- Anticipate guest and team needs and respond proactively
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards
- Support special events, private dining experiences, and high-volume service periods as needed
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Positive attitude and passion for hospitality
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to safely carry trays, dishes, glassware, and other service items
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences through thoughtful, attentive service
