Job Description

Nomni is the all-in-one platform built for hospitality operators - bringing POS, payments, ordering, loyalty, procurement, marketing, and data together in one system, with AI at its core.

We exist because hospo tech has been built around what's good for the people providing it, not the people using it. We're changing that. Built by operators, for operators - with 35,000 venues already on the platform across Australia and Southeast Asia.

One platform. One team. One company accountable for the outcomes that matter.

About The Role

As a Solutions Consultant at Nomni, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional onboarding experiences for restaurant merchants by implementing and installing Nomni's POS and online ordering systems. You will be responsible for the configuration, installation, and integration of our systems, ensuring a seamless transition for clients as they go live with Nomni.

This is a hands-on, field-focused role, requiring regular travel to merchant locations across Sydney. You will work directly with restaurant owners and staff to install hardware, configure systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure merchants are fully operational from day one. This role is critical to supporting Nomni's growth in the Sydney and Melbourne market, helping ensure installations are completed efficiently and merchants have confidence in using the Nomni's platform.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding and implementation of Nomni's POS and ordering solutions, from scoping and configuration to installation and go-live support.
  • Configure software, POS hardware, printers, payment terminals, and basic network setups to ensure successful merchant launches.
  • Act as the primary implementation advisor, understanding merchant operations and tailoring solutions to their business needs.
  • Provide on-site and remote support during onboarding and post-launch, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Support, and Engineering teams to deliver successful implementations and continuously improve onboarding processes.
  • Support Mandarin-speaking merchants throughout the implementation journey.

Qualifications

  • 3–8 years of experience in POS, hospitality technology, or implementation-focused roles (e.g., Installer, Solutions Consultant, Implementation Specialist, Technical Project Manager).
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end software and hardware implementations, including POS systems, online ordering, and payment solutions.
  • Hands-on experience installing and configuring POS hardware, printers, payment terminals, and basic networking equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently on-site and remotely.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience conducting onboarding, training, and solution consultations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Good to Have

  • Cantonese language skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based POS systems and SaaS platforms, including API integrations and system connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and operational tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using project or task management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or Trello.
  • Basic proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel or SQL) to help identify operational insights and improve system performance.
  • Understanding of restaurant operational workflows, including kitchen printing, order flow, and payment handling.
