Job Description
About Plexus
Legal protects 90% of enterprise value. In most organisations, it’s still slow, expensive, and stretched impossibly thin — one lawyer for every 500 employees. Nine out of ten legal tasks go unsupported.
Plexus is the Legal Operating System for the modern enterprise. We help in-house legal teams automate and scale legal work across the business — faster, with less cost, and less risk.
We’re trusted by Coca-Cola, Nike, L’Oréal, PepsiCo, Woolworths, and Asahi. Our clients report 65% productivity gains.
We’re not a law firm. We’re not a traditional software company. We’re building something new — and we’re not done yet.
Own core products in our agentic portfolio end to end — roadmap, discovery and delivery. You'll partner with Engineering and applied-AI to turn ambiguous legal workflows into reliable agent behaviour, and with Customer Success, Sales and Marketing to bring it to market.
You need to be genuinely dangerous on:
- AI orchestration — planning/reasoning loops, multi-step workflows, how agents decide what to do next.
- Tool / function calling — structuring inputs/outputs, chaining calls, handling failure modes.
- RAG — retrieval pipelines, chunking/embeddings, grounding outputs in source documents.
- Evaluation & guardrails — measuring agent quality, human-in-the-loop review, audit trails.
- Trade-off reasoning — reliability vs latency vs cost vs UX, argued in real time with engineers.
This isn't colour on a resume. You'll be asked to defend architecture decisions in the room.
About you:
- 3+ years in product management, minimum, typically inside 6–8 years' total experience. Mixed paths welcome — engineering, applied AI, consulting, legal — provided you've owned a product from definition to launch, more than once.
- Hands-on or closely adjacent experience with AI/LLM products, ideally agentic systems, RAG or tool-using applications.
- Strong UI/UX instincts — you own design decisions, not just requirements.
- You define metrics before you build, instrument for them, and let evidence drive the next move.
- Comfortable being on a customer call, writing stories, reviewing evals and shaping GTM messaging in the same morning.
What you'll be measured on:
- Real outcomes, not activity: full roadmap ownership by 90 days, live design-partner accounts by 6 months, a genuine agent quality bar (50% zero-touch acceptance), and adoption at scale by 12 months.
Why this role:
- A rare shot at owning a frontier product inside a company that's already a category leader — with real decision-making authority, not just a seat at the table.
