What does a Occupational Support Specialist do?
Under the direction of management, the Office Coordinator is responsible for organizing various office tasks and functions to ensure office operations run smoothly at all times. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, front desk coordination , answering phones, maintaining office supplies and performing other administrative support duties.What does a typical day on the job look like?

Assists with and serves as back up for all front office functions including patient relations, patient registration and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and answering phones.
Accurately processes, codes to general ledger accounts, and submits invoices and accounts receivables to Corporate Accounting weekly.
Reconciles and files invoices in a timely manner.
Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure all provider licensing, credentialing, corporate requirements (CPR, annual flu vaccination, etc.) is current and in good standing.
Inventories and orders supplies to ensure adequate stock is available. This includes office and cleaning supplies, ordering lab coats for providers, and any other needed supplies.
Oversees the non-clinical aspect of obtaining/recording patient FMLA paperwork.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
What are the requirements for the job?

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years’ experience in physician office setting preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, EMR experience preferred, familiar with medical terminology
Strong Organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently within short deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills characterized
