JOB OVERVIEW

As a Milk Bar Nomad Classroom Teacher you are responsible for consistently delivering upon an exceptional Milk Bar guest experience during all classes and experiences. A positive attitude is key to make sure every participant leaves with a smile. As a Classroom Teacher, you’ll be responsible for consistently delivering Milk Bar Magic in our private events and regular roster of public baking classes. This role serves as Milk Bar champion, demo teacher, and host all in one.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach a full range of public classes and private events
• Pre-class prep and post-class breakdown, which can include preparing class mise-en-place, ensuring ingredients are fresh and ready in a timely manner.
• Work in partnership with other departments on creating organizational systems.
• Assist with product ordering, checking orders, maintaining inventory of merchandise, and partnering with commissary staff
• Fill-out end-of class and event communication logs.
• Cleaning of classroom space as needed, which includes washing items and leaving the classroom prepped and ready for the next event; general day-to-day maintenance of classroom space.
• Engage and captivate classroom & experience guests to ensure they leave with having had best possible experience
• Assist Classes teams with completing side work checklists during slow periods. This assistance is a secondary responsibility not to interfere with the guest experience.
• Perform Nomad Classes side work including but not limited to preparing frosting and crumbs for cakes
• Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embodying our core values and inspiring celebration. Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally

• Experience and comfort with entertaining and instructing an audience
• Knowledge of and comfort with baking techniques, equipment and tools a plus ? Ability to build relationships and embrace change
• Efficient time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Regular in-person attendance is an essential function and requirement of this position
