Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status.
At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These are the dedicated employees who keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. Despite their vital role in society, most workplace technology has focused on those workers who sit behind a desk, but at Deputy, we transform the frontline. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – the business is more profitable, compliant, and productive, while the workers are more engaged and happier at work.
We're becoming an AI-native company, a commitment that means you'll be empowered (and expected) to use AI tools and thinking in your day-to-day work. You'll have the training, support, and freedom to use AI responsibly and creatively to spark ideas, solve problems faster, and unlock new ways of working.
If you’re passionate about creating solutions that put people first and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most!
The Role
In this role, you will serve as a Sales Development Representative driving new business in target segments for Deputy. You will be collaborating cross-functionally with different stakeholders to execute on a new outbound strategy. We’re looking for a positive, outgoing, and ambitious individual to join the team and help drive our sales efforts.
This person will work predominantly on sourcing and building pipelines for our Account Executives in the SMB and Mid-Market segments. Specifically, you will be working on building relationships with leads in our ICP, with a mix of social selling, traditional inbound and outbound email and calls, text messaging, and whatever tactics are necessary to book demos for the AEs.
- Proactively source, engage and qualify strategic prospects in target segments and industries to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for our AMER sales team
- Engage with potential clients through various communication channels such as calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts and live chat platforms aimed at creating new business opportunities
- Run your own qualification calls with prospects, helping to determine if they should be passed to AEs for the next stage
- Demonstrate attentive listening skills when understanding customer requirements and articulate how we can meet those needs better than other solutions
- Take rigorous notes and maintain data cleanliness in the CRM to ensure quality handoff to AEs
- Consistently meet established quota targets that will contribute to the company's revenue growth.
- At least 1 year of professional quota-carrying sales experience as a Inbound SDR or similar role at a Saas company, with a proven track record of achievement and the desire to build a career in sales
- Team player and demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Excellent phone presence and interpersonal communication skills
- A love for making an impact and working with a team to hit key goals and metrics
- Passion and curiosity around technology, with the ability to comprehend and articulate value points to customers
- Naturally curious individual who wants to understand the why behind the why
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools (i.e. Outreach, Sales Navigator, Cognism)
- Startup and/or people tech experience is a plus!

- Enjoy a flexible work policy, with a dedicated office 1 minute walk from Farringdon Station
- Own a piece of Deputy through our Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP)

- Access private health and dental insurance
- Take paid parental leave to support you and your family
