This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cyber Consultant based in United States.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale cybersecurity and identity transformation initiatives within a complex consulting environment. You will focus on Identity and Access Management while helping organizations strengthen authentication, federation, provisioning, and user lifecycle capabilities. The position combines strategic assessment, technical analysis, documentation, and hands-on support for IAM transformation programs. You will work across technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Active Directory, and modern identity protocols. The role also provides exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code, migration planning, and cybersecurity practices in regulated industries. Success requires strong technical judgment, structured problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Support enterprise-scale Identity and Access Management and cybersecurity initiatives, applying extensive experience across complex identity environments.
- Assess application authentication methods, federation patterns, provisioning integrations, and user lifecycle management processes.
- Evaluate and document application inventories, dependencies, current-state environments, and identity architecture to support transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to Okta-to-Microsoft Entra ID migration programs through application assessments, dependency analysis, and migration planning.
- Apply knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Active Directory, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, MFA, and Conditional Access.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture materials, requirements matrices, process flows, decision logs, and project deliverables.
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code concepts using tools and practices such as Terraform, source control, and deployment pipelines.
- Analyze cybersecurity risks and recommend practical solutions aligned with security principles, organizational requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives within regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other project participants to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, organization, and communication throughout project delivery.
- 10+ years of professional experience in Identity and Access Management, cybersecurity, or related enterprise security disciplines.
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Consultant, Cybersecurity Analyst, IAM Consultant, or in a comparable cybersecurity role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of IAM technologies and protocols, including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Active Directory, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, MFA, and Conditional Access.
- Experience assessing authentication, federation, provisioning, application dependencies, and identity lifecycle processes.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, controls, and industry best practices.
- Experience supporting IAM transformation, modernization, or migration initiatives, particularly Okta-to-Entra ID programs.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code practices, Terraform, source control, and deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards including GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective security recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, accountability, and respect when working with clients and colleagues.
- $90–$100 per hour compensation range for highly qualified candidates.
- 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
- Fully remote position within the United States.
