- Manage the overall relationship with assigned financial services customers, identifying key decision-makers, influencers, buyers, and executive sponsors.
- Increase account penetration by expanding the adoption of solutions across different functions and areas of each customer organization.
- Use business intelligence and market insight to connect buying and selling organizations, generate opportunities, and position relevant solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans and sales strategies designed to achieve and exceed revenue objectives.
- Build durable, trusted customer relationships and establish partnerships capable of supporting long-term growth.
- Lead complex sales and RFX processes by coordinating internal resources, assigning responsibilities, managing timelines, and ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Identify emerging customer needs and opportunities for product or service enhancements, using market and client insights to inform internal teams.
- Lead external planning discussions with customers to understand key business challenges and align recommended solutions and resources with their priorities.
- Resolve customer issues and escalations, documenting root causes and identifying preventative actions to reduce future problems.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, sales, product, and other internal teams to deliver effective customer outcomes.
- Monitor changes across the financial services industry and proactively educate customers and internal stakeholders on relevant developments.
- Maintain a strong pipeline, anticipate future opportunities, and continuously identify ways to increase market share and customer value.
- At least 5 years of enterprise sales or account management experience within Canadian financial services, B2B, data, technology, or related services.
- In-depth knowledge of retail credit, consumer credit reporting, or closely related financial services industries.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, lengthy sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sales plans that increase market penetration and create sustainable growth.
- Strong strategic pipeline management skills, including the ability to identify, qualify, forecast, and develop advanced opportunities.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility and become a trusted advisor to customers.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills; bilingual capabilities are considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders ranging from technical specialists and front-line professionals to senior and executive leadership.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent opportunities, projects, and customer priorities.
- Engaging, adaptable, entrepreneurial, and goal-oriented approach with a strong record of personal accountability and performance.
- Sound understanding of the regulatory and legislative environment affecting Canadian financial services customers, including relevant compliance considerations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- A university or college degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
- Expected annual compensation range of $131,000–$182,000 CAD, with actual compensation determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, location, skills, and market conditions.
