Construction Project Coordinator (Federal)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator (Federal) based in United States.

This role provides construction coordination and quality oversight for federal projects, including renovation and construction initiatives serving tribal communities.
You will review plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation to support constructability, compliance, and high-quality project delivery.
The position combines field-based construction inspection with project coordination, administrative support, and stakeholder collaboration.
You will work closely with contractors, project teams, vendors, and community stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects moving effectively.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety, quality assurance, and federal contracting environments will be essential to success.
The role offers an opportunity to contribute to projects in remote locations while supporting meaningful infrastructure and community-focused initiatives.
This is a full-time position with remote work arrangements and periodic travel to active construction and renovation sites.

Accountabilities
  • Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents to assess constructability and support compliance with project requirements.
  • Oversee construction and renovation projects, monitoring contractor activities and evaluating materials, workmanship, quality, and adherence to approved plans.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to construction teams and assist with special projects and administrative requirements as needed.
  • Support renovation and construction initiatives from planning through completion, helping coordinate activities and resolve project issues.
  • Conduct site visits and quality assurance inspections to verify that construction work meets applicable standards, specifications, safety expectations, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors, contractor representatives, vendors, project teams, and community stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Identify potential construction, scheduling, quality, and compliance issues and apply sound problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to address them.
  • Support project documentation, scheduling, reporting, and other coordination activities using construction software and standard productivity tools.
  • Work effectively with tribal communities, particularly in remote locations, while demonstrating cultural awareness, professionalism, and respect for diverse stakeholders.
  • Travel periodically to active project sites and be prepared to work atypical hours when required by client needs or project demands.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of relevant specialized experience in construction, construction engineering, construction management, or a closely related technical field.
  • Prior experience working with tribal communities, particularly in remote locations, is required.
  • Experience supporting federal construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing or coordinating residential, commercial, mixed-use, renovation, or comparable construction projects is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings, contracts, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality assurance, safety considerations, project coordination, and contractor oversight.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, vendors, technical teams, project stakeholders, and community representatives.
  • Familiarity with construction management software, scheduling applications, and standard office productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or passport for commercial air travel.
  • Ability to travel periodically to remote and active construction sites and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to spend extended periods on construction sites, including walking, standing, climbing ladders, and performing inspections in foundations, crawlspaces, roofs, and other areas of active construction.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and use required technology and safety equipment.
  • Must be able to maintain reliable broadband connectivity if working remotely, including at least 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds; certain positions may require higher speeds.
Benefits
  • Salary range of $90,000–$105,000.
  • Full-time, exempt position with a standard schedule of 40+ hours per week.
