Esthetician

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Williamsburg)

Job Type: Part-Time

Compensation: $25 - $30 + commission/bonus opportunities

Schedule/Availability: 30 hours or less per week. Flexible availability, including weekends (approximately 3 weekend shifts per month).

Responsibilities:

Minimum one year practicing medical aesthetics.Provide consistent professional medical treatments, facial and body treatments in accordance with office protocols and accepted certification practices.Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the serviceExhibit a strong desire to help others and promote the health and wellness benefits of skincare services while making appropriate recommendations on product purchasesHave complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training patients in these areas so they are aware of all of our services offeredActively promote home skin care regimens and document all medical information using appropriate forms and clinical notes in the software systemProperly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controlsUphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and proceduresConcentrate on patient retention and referralsMaintain a social media presence and engagementPositive attitudeTeam playerMaintain a professional and clean work environment & appearanceAdhere to local and state licensing/certification laws and regulationsHandle patients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in an aesthetic, dermatology, or plastic surgery practice Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge Must be a team player Communicate effectively and transparently Be courteous and respectful Solutions oriented and innovative Attendance at all meetings, training, in-services, and other arrangements deemed important to business development by management World class professionalism with both patients and co-workers

Licensure & Certifications:

Active and in good standing state (that this role is listed in) Esthetician license Active BLS or ACLS certificationLaser or additional aesthetic modality certifications highly preferred

Clinical Competencies:

Ability to safely administer treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols Ability to recognize and respond to adverse events and complications associated with aesthetic treatments

Compliance & Documentation

Ability to maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and company compliance standards Commitment to patient safety, informed consent, and ethical clinical practice

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform repetitive fine motor movements with hands and fingers Ability to safely handle devices and medical supplies Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift standard medical aesthetic equipment and inventory

Training & Travel:

Willing to complete Rapid Advancement of MedAesthetic Partners (RAMP) 4-week paid training program (as determined by AMP leadership) Occasional travel for training and professional development
