As a senior technical leader, you will design and implement scalable AI governance controls that enable innovation while ensuring security, compliance, and responsible AI adoption. Working cross-functionally with engineering, product, security, legal, privacy, and data teams, you will transform governance principles into practical engineering standards and automated processes. - Design, implement, and continuously improve technical governance controls across the entire AI lifecycle, ensuring AI systems are secure, compliant, auditable, and aligned with responsible AI principles.
- Lead technical assurance reviews for AI solutions by validating system behavior, identifying risks, and confirming that mitigation strategies are effectively implemented.
- Develop and maintain governance artifacts such as model documentation, evaluation reports, architecture diagrams, risk assessments, and compliance evidence.
- Establish continuous monitoring frameworks, automated validation processes, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to support ongoing AI oversight.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, security, legal, privacy, and data governance teams to integrate AI governance requirements directly into development workflows.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor on AI governance, promoting best practices, supporting audit readiness, and driving continuous improvements to governance and risk management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 3 years of experience working with or governing AI/ML systems in production or near-production environments.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and modern AI architectures.
- Experience translating governance frameworks and regulatory requirements into technical controls, validation processes, and engineering standards.
- Familiarity with AI governance and security frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, NIST CSF, SOC 2, or similar industry standards.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, or regulatory reviews through technical documentation and evidence collection.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams, balance innovation with risk management, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Remote work within the United States.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $127,000 to $165,000, plus performance-based incentives.
